Where is the ice? - smittyts - 12-28-2017

I would sure appreciate any updates on ice conditions for the following:
- Strawberry
- Lost Creek
- Echo
- Pineview
- East Canyon
- Smith Morehouse
- Rockport

I am hoping to get the family out on New Year's Day.
Muchas Gracias

The only safe ice I have heard of is at Mantua. Still waiting to hear about anything else? If I do I will post it.

Newton is also fishable, but not the best ice... Watching ice forming on Hyrum and Willard now, but word is only about an inch of ice there and with the higher temps, it may not hold... Other than that, most ice being fished is in the Uinta's or Idaho... Oh I think Scofield (sorry can't spell that one) and some of the other lakes around Fish Lake country are fishing now.. There are rumors of isolated patches of ice here and there that are shaded and have formed 5+" of ice that are fishing good. But most of the biggies (closer to urban area ponds) are still open or just starting to cap... Not a great ice year so far... Hope someone passes on some good info I'm not aware of... Later J
