Cascade Ice conditions - TopH2O - 01-08-2018 OK Idaho guys. Here's your chance to help out a fellow BFTer even if I am a Utahard. I am seriously considering coming up to Cascade on Thursday with a group of my friends. I don't have my snowmobile ready to go yet but I do have a 4x4 ATV with 25" tires and a set of chains. Are the current conditions OK for an ATV? I know there is some snow in the forecast but it looks like it won't be too deep to prevent using my Can-Am. I appreciate any and all information concerning the current and near term conditions. We will probably be accessing the lake from Poison Creek. Thanks in advance. Send me a PM if you're embarassed about talking with someone from "Down South". And the weather has been very warm. I recommend exercising great caution. Fishing has been pretty good. Caution on the ice is always a very good idea. It is smart to be with a group so that if anything happens, help is at hand. Keep that powder dry! Mike [signature] |
