Utah Lake water temp - fishgiver - 05-08-2018 At what water temp do the cats really get active? I have only fished for them in mid June . Cats are active all summer after the temps stay above 60 degrees. I fished Lincoln this a.m. and the water temp was 62-63 degrees. The cats were very active. Many of the males are starting to show battle scars as they compete for nesting areas. Weekend cold spell might slow them a bit but now on into summer is the time when they are the most active.
