Powerbait on the bottom - 4thekids - 06-08-2018 Would someone please explain to me the correct technique for fishing powerbait on the bottom? It sounds simple enough but I have never caught a fish using powerbait "on the bottom". My setup is just a hook with split shot up about 12 to 14 inches and chuck it out as far as I can being careful not to send the bait off on it's own. I see many reports that say that's how folks are catching trout. Thanks for any clarification anyone can give.
