The Garden I Left Behind - Old_Coot - 07-06-2018 This forum about gardening really makes me miss the garden that I left behind when I sold my home after 13 years of TLC. Here is a [url "http://www.bigfishtackle.com/cgi-bin/gforum/gforum.cgi?post=896789#p896789"]link to the pics of that beautiful garden and yard[/url]. Takes just a few seconds more than most. --- Coot --- [signature] Re: [Old_Coot] The Garden I Left Behind - wiperhunter2 - 07-08-2018 Sad deal there Ralph but hopefully by this time next year you will be growing another fine garden at your new place. I just harvested my butternut squash and replanted for some more fall crop. I think some of mine are close but wasn't sure if there was a full proof way of telling. Starts out green then yellow with green stripes. stripes disappear i pick them or vine drys up. Butternut squash I guess. . Blossom end rot has hit my garden hard as half my tomato, All red peppers have them. Strangely all yellow peppers have been perfect. Guess it's all yellow next year. Could be like that article says, that the soil is wetter in the Spring but later when the soil is drier it isn't a problem.[:/] [signature] Re: [Old_Coot] The Garden I Left Behind - JoyceMaddox - 09-01-2018 Yes you can grow a another fine garden at your new place too. My cousin has too faced similar situation when he shifted to new city. But after an year, he was successful in growing the new garden of both vegetables and blossoming flowers too. I was really impressed by the idea of patio chairs as it was giving an amazing look to the whole environment. I am thinking to get a set of patio chairs for my garden too.
