Help on finding perch at Jordanelle - Kent - 08-06-2018 This Saturday I have agreed to take our Young Women to Jordanelle to play in the water and to catch some fish. I know where to locate the fish on the Rock Cliff side, but because we will be located on the Hailstone side I would prefer to fish that area. Any tips on locating the perch (quantity of fish is far more important than quality, so perch will do just fine) around Hailstone would be appreciated. Work shoreline edges to about 10 ft 15ft of water. There should be plenty available, unless the tiger musky have depleted the supply. Caught a grudge of small perch in the back bays by the camp ground past the two little cabins. Was using worm on a jig head about 1 1/2 to 2 ft below a bobber. Almost every cast I had one on. Also got a couple smallmouth as well. Have fun! [signature] Re: [jacob0434] Help on finding perch at Jordanelle - Kent - 08-10-2018 I'm sure the young ladies will have a good time. Kept a couple baby perch for bait and headed back to the dock to meat our young fisher ladies. Two of them had never fished before and one had been fishing. We fished for only an hour and they caught at least 25 fish [(about 3/4 perch and 1/4 bass (largest bass about 13 inches)]. All caught on a chunk of perch below a slip bobber. It was better than I even hoped for, so I was a happy camper. After fishing it was lunch and then boating time (pulled a double tube) with the addition of three girls who didn't fish. Good times for all. [signature] |
