We sure could not tell that today was suppose to be one of the best days to fish this month.
It was slow to say the least. Got out at around 7:30 and fished until 11:00. Calm water that looked like glass and blue bird sky did not help. I could not get a bass to chase. Did manage a few. All seemed to be locked down on structure in 15 to 25 feet. Had to just about hit them on the head with the shakey in order to get them to even look at it. The dog days of August are here in AR in full force. Did manage one good one that was worth a picture. Nice long skinny 5 pounder. I bet there are a bunch of FLW boys just up the road here at Lake Ouachita that would have loved to have had this one today. emoAngel Jmax
