Rockport Ice? - roynut - 01-18-2019
Has anyone seen the ice conditions at Rockport in the past few days? The status at Sportsman's Warehouse says the ice is soft along the shoreline but those reports are sometimes out of date.

Members have been fishing it for weeks now, so I doubt it has gone too far down hill. If the water level has come up that could be a problem but you could always bring a plank or use your ice fishing sled to get across the edges to solid ice. If you get up there please let us know the conditions, thanks.

It was soft 3 ft out from the bank at the boat ramp today. I caught some perch and planter trout. Not nearly as good as I did Wednesday morning on the highway side. If you have waterproof boots, you should be fine.
