Website Dilema? - spinner - 02-22-2004 I just started a new trout Fishing Guide Service. I have a site to promote it. These are some of the comments I have gotten: too slow to load too many photos people want immediate gratification love your photos i go back each week to see the new photos can't wait to see March 06 opener photos you are losing business by slow load If you can afford a trout fish guide.....you can afford a fast/new computer. Input please? That may have something to do with the speed. [signature] Re: [DrownedDesertRat] Website Dilema? - spinner - 02-23-2004 I did make smaller.............. but then it looked bare,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Not personal anymore.......... Heck......I added stuff and a complete entire page! Len [signature] Re: [spinner] Website Dilema? - DrownedDesertRat - 02-23-2004 I wasn't talking about the size but the format. .jpg, from what I've been told, is a compressed format which should load quicker than .tiff or .bmp formats. Another suggestion is to make the hompage more compact. Try changing the format so that you dont have to scroll down forever. Other wise looks pretty good. As people would start to read and be occupied with the text the pictures would become nice and crisp. This may be old stuff but it was OK for 2 years ago! I believe you had to put BOTH pictures in your files but hey.... whatever works! Hope this helps.
