Smalliefan2, Chick, Bass, 5/4/19 CFF # 5, Dr. Detroit - FishNews - 05-08-2019 It's Senko de Mayo, let the festivities begin.<br />Mike and I were torn on where to start. Picked our first place, and only had one other boat there. Mike is using a c-rig, I am throwing a jig or t-rig. Mike connects with our first keeper. Keep fishing, and Mike gets our second, 7+, on the c-rig. The fish goes right, left, right,under the boat, finally I net her. We are smiling. I get our limit on a football jig. Three in the box , and it is only 7:15. We figured if we get another biggun, we will head to HBSP for breakfast. Didn't happen. Made a move, and surprise , no other boats there.Caught quite a number of fish, but no help. Went to CFP, and the secret stump field at the back. Again , no other boats, and no fish. We just started when the storm rolled in. Ran to the nearest marina, soaked, and ducked under the roof. Fished after the thunder, upgraded a little. This one was right on the bank, bit a Senko. Weighted little over 12#, 3rd. That is our best finish this year.<br />Caught most of the keeper fish 8-12 fow. Several on a rig, one on a jig, one on a Senko. Water was low 70's. All the places we fished are community holes.<br />Congrats to Mark and Ray for the win. Thanks to the committee folks for another well run tourney.
