The berry Sat/Sun - stlaf - 07-09-2019
Took the 11 year old grand-daughter to the berry on Sat/Sun. Fished out in front of the marina using lead line and pink squid. She caught over 30 trout but was able to land 3 nice 15-16 inch kokanee. Was surprised to get the kokanee as they have been very hard to get on the lead line. All and all she had a great trip which she won't forget soon.
I have never seen so many boats with trailers filling the parking lot, side road and the overflow down the road on Saturday.

We were there in Sat., but didn't do as well as you. And I agree, I've never seen so many boats on the water. We got out around 8:30 a.m. so no wait to launch, and its a big lake, so we quickly found some quiet water.
Still, it was one of the prettiest days on Strawberry with little wind, the reservoir almost full, and the surrounding mountains so green.
We left around 8:30 p.m., and everyone was gone by then, so again no wait.
A great way to spend the July 4th holiday even with the huge crowds.
