Wouldn't matter if a fire burned every last bit of trash.  There would quickly be a fresh crop.  I have carted off a couple of big plastic bags full of trash from down there...and three days later you couldn't tell anyone had ever cleaned up anywhere in the area.  It has been a bit better with the improvements...and more to come.  But as long as it is free access and camping the trash element will always show up.  Even if they start charging it won't entirely eliminate the problem.  Maybe "Corona virus" will help reduce it.  Plenty of Corona bottles down there.
