Horsethief/Payette river 8/8/2020 - nijimasu - 08-10-2020
Fished Horsethief from a tube Saturday- campgrounds were crowded more than the city, but the lake was fine- but no fish. I was fishing spinners as well as flies, had one take a chironomid, but that was the only hit I had. Headed down to Cascade and drifted some worms through the runs at the water park and was pleasantly surprised by chunky rainbows. Caught enough for dinner for the fam and called it good. Drove home to Meridian and fried them up- the kids got out of bed and descended like vultures. Great day.

Sounds like a really great day. I need to make some time and explore the area around Cascade.
