Fish lake snow, ice, slush condition help??? - AJBwheat1222 - 03-02-2023

So, we are planning a trip to Fish Lake doing a 4 day"ur and was wondering about conditions getting out onto the ice because we set up tents and stay over. Also posting some pics from past time showing how we have been staying over on the ice. One time we had to set up on the shore because the snow was too deep.

I don't have the info you are asking about but I sure do like that set up. Reminds me of elk camp

Was there a week ago. No slush, about 3 to 4 inches of snow and plenty of ice thickness. No sure how recent storms have changed the snow depth as wind usually blows snow off the lake.

Thanks for the like on camping set up. I also share the same nick name as your sidekick fishing buddy. I grew up watching and being a/the little rascals but now adays I look like Spanky and carry a note like Alfalfa but my Fav. is O-tay. Most the time I go by Wheat for short. I'm also Renecker Camo. I was Camo before Camo became cool.

Thanks for the info. We are going down on the 8th through the 12th. The hardest is at the shoreline on and off the Lake.

This is last year's biggest catch, Tasty Cruser! Just makes me want-ta break into song - O the stink bate we use at Fish Lake makes the fish a pucker, you start out with a nibble you end up with a Sucker! O-O-O gee I want to goes, where do you want-ta goes. Gee Ma I want to goes a fish'un! Come on five pounders! Fish On! Stay fun's! Sorry Dry Humor me, the Wheat!
