Utah Lake ice sheet!! - Therapist - 03-02-2023 Utah lake ice is going fast.  Buddy reported that the ice is coming off the lake and piling up on the shoreline.  If you have never seen what the ice can do,  go down to the Harbor or any place you can access the shoreline where the wind is blowing into and you will see an incredible site.  He reported that the ice on the south and west dikes at Provo Boat harbor had pushed boulders off the face of the dike and onto the road almost blocking it.  If you are familiar with those boulders, some of them are the size of a small car and will weigh hundreds of pounds.  The power of the ice is amazing and if the wind is blowing,  it is quite the sight to see sheets of ice sliding along the ice and crashing into the shore, stacking up 20-30 ft.   Looks like the lake is pretty much clear from the harbor to the north now, so all we need is to get the harbor clear of ice and OPEN WATER !!  YoHooo !!!
