Slow day at Jordanelle - wiperhunter2 - 08-10-2024 Ira and I got up to the Nelle yesterday. We were on the water fishing at 6 am and caught a bow but then it went dead, 3 or 4 hours later Ira caught a first for us, a SM bass, on koke gear, down about 50 ft in 80 fow. A little later we moved over to the Ross creek area and caught another bow but we decided to call it quits at that point, around 12:30 pm. RE: Slow day at Jordanelle - Jig-fisher - 08-10-2024 Wow, that's a tough day. Interesting about the smallie. We caught one when I was with my dad on koke gear as well. The rod was set at 35 ft. We had swung close to a cliff edge and as we were going back out to open water I thought I saw the rod twitch, but then nothing. About 5 min later the rod was just acting funny so I told my dad to reel it in. Yep a tiny smallmouth. I thought it was unusual at the time but maybe not, this one was small too around 7", we had just gone over a point when this bass hit. |
