Wind Rivers p2 - Cowboypirate - 11-02-2024 And so on the last few days of our Windriver Trip the weather got grumpy. Rain. Snow. And, Wind. Weathet really cut into our fishing plans so we spent time driving up new roads to check new locations. Unfortunately the Trail fire had a lot of the upper green river area shut down and those were our targeted grouse and fly fishing spots. We fished Boulder in a wind snow squall. Froze. Got a few rainbows before we retreated to the truck. Fished Fremont twice. Had fair luck with bows but again no lakers. Fished a few creeks and picked up a few here and there but nothing was hot with the storm racing through the mts. Chased a bunch of grouse around with my bow and a sling shot. My wife was not impressed with my efforts to put some in the Frying pan. Still a great time and put a few new spots on map for future exploration. Video is parts two - a mix of spots and fun with a rather crazy bit of bow hunting attempts. https://youtu.be/_qdi0ycz_LE?si=94MLrOm9BNd8he-k RE: Wind Rivers p2 - wiperhunter2 - 11-03-2024 (11-02-2024, 12:31 AM)Cowboypirate Wrote: And so on the last few days of our Windriver Trip the weather got grumpy. Next time you should take a pellet gun for those grouse, if you don't want to use gun powder, lol. Love watching your adventures, they remind me of some of my adventures, when I was younger. I had my shotgun and bird shots for my 22, but, they frown on ya shooting in in a campground. Got to do a little practicing for next year RE: Wind Rivers p2 - lovetofish - 11-05-2024 Enjoyed your video. Beautiful country. That's why I was saying try a pellet gun, no loud bang but much more accurate than a sling shot or bow and arrow, unless you very good with them, like you said, they takes a lot of practice. Just a friendly reminder, in Wyoming State Parks all hunting with firearms and other "projectiles" is prohibited within 400 yards of a campground. On all National Forest all hunting is prohibited within 150 yards of a developed campground. RE: Wind Rivers p2 - SkunkedAgain - 11-05-2024 Hey Lance great video, you are sure getting good at putting them together... Thanks for sharing your adventure..... Later J |
