Echo hr - Cowboypirate - 11-08-2024 Students wanted to get out after school today. We were only able to get an hour or so before dark at Echo. Got a couple little smallies. I had some perch bites playing with my pugly bugs but could not hook em. Saw some very small floating dead perch. Did not really bring cold weather gear or we may have stayed longer. Did not try for trout. Probably would have did better if we would have. RE: Echo hr - lovetofish - 11-08-2024 If I can get away, I'd like to get one more trip to Echo or Rockport before calling it quits for the year. It's getting a little too cold for me. I don't ice fish anymore and it's supposed to warm up a little this coming weekend. I know I won't be hitting the water at zero-dark-thirty. I'll wait until the sun is out and warming up for the day. This old body doesn't handle the cold like it used to. I waited till 8:00, sun up to launch. It started at 17* but warmed up pretty quick. I only saw one other boat. Fishing was fast for 16 to 18" rainbows, trolling kokanee gear. Next week looks like still decent weather. Don't put the boat away yet. Did get 1 koke that was also released. |
