It started out bad, but ended up being a fun trip. Glad I was with someone else, not alone. Stupid auger. Likely only another couple weeks of safe ice left. Better get out while you can
You caught a LMB out of willard, that's amazing, not many of those out there and a crappie on the same day, impressive, congrats Shawn. Were you in a boat or the ice?
It was through the ice. Oddly enough, I brought 29 LMBs topside that trip. All in the 12-13" range. Who knows, may have have just caught the same 3 fish 10 times each. RE: 24/25 Ice Challenge- EyLayo - wiperhunter2 - 02-27-2025 (02-27-2025, 02:24 AM)EyLayo Wrote: It was through the ice. If you don't mind me asking what were you using? RE: 24/25 Ice Challenge- EyLayo - EyLayo - 02-27-2025 Fairly certain a wonderbread teardrop and wax worm did most of the work. I don't recall catching any on my perch eye rig. There's one swimming around with it still in its lip. I got lazy and didn't retie after catching a bunch. Must have just been a lot of them in that area, Was there a guy fishing on the docks that had a red or orange bucket? I'm just guessing you were fishing off the docks. |
