Ice Conditions at Strawberry? - SkunkedAgain - 02-04-2025

I have a guest I need to show a good trip, was thinking about trying Strawberry out of the marina and taking a snowmobile to pull the gear towards Renegade.  How is the current ice conditions?  Did the last storm create a slush monster up there?  Any tips on best locations to set up to show my guest a great trip?  Appreciate your help Jeff...

There is not much snow on the ice to turn into slush. I would guess you would be fine. I observed four wheelers last Saturday getting around just fine. Granted it has warmed up since then.

Thanks so much for that advice, would I be better to take a four wheeler than the snowmobile? to pull my sleds and gear?

Ice thickness around the Ladders area was 8-10 inches and saw machines (ATVs and snowmobiles) all the way to the island.  There were some slush around areas where people have drilled but mostly walkable and about 4" of snow on top as of last Saturday (2/1).  BTW, it was OK with the Snowdog.

Thank you very much, that is sounding like music to my ears... We have been getting rain and crazy winds here in Cache Valley, is the storm hitting down there in the Strawberry area as well? Guess I'll keep my condition request open till I head down on Friday or Saturday, if anyone sees a change please let me know, but I really like this report... Thank you... Jeff
