i fished tawas pier last night , not one nibble .
there's usually burbot running this time of year . the water was low , still ice in the marina (construction going on ) . for parking you had to go north of the pier to the hotel , turn in the parking lot , make the first right , and head up to the entrance .
bill and i stayed till 2 am , not too cold with only a slight breese from shore .
drifting spawn bags , smelt off the bottom , jigging , not one taker on anything !
fishing reports from around the area sure are different , some guys are saying they limited out in a couple hours , some report nothing at all .
another friend went to omer yesterday with his kids from 3pm to 2 am , cought a whole 5 suckers .
seems like a slow start over here .
