William's Fork River - daymere - 04-03-2004 FISHING: Fair Flow: 21 Clarity: Excellent Water Temperature : High 30’s, to low 40’s Major Food Organisms: Midges Hatches: Sporadic midges 14 Day Forecast: Look for low clear flows and tough fishing. Let’s hope and pray Denver Water will raise the flow. Tips and Other Information: The river is very low, and the fish are very spooky. If the water rises to the 50 cfs mark, fishing will improve dramatically. My suggestion is to not fish this stretch when the flow is this low. The fish are not in jeopardy because the water temps are cool, however; they will be hammered if everyone fishes to these fish. I guess, use your best judgment. Flies of choice have been #22 Mercury Black Beauties, #22 Mercury Pheasant Tails, #20 Buckskins, and #22 RS II’s. I would recommend fishing the Colorado River rather than the Williams Fork. Please refer to the report below! Effective Patterns: #18-26 Parachute Adams, #16 Nuclear Egg, #14-16 Bead Breadcrust, #16 Bead Head Buckskin, and #18-#20 Sparkle Wing RS II, #18 Mercury Flashback Pheasant Tail, and #18 Buckskin.
