From Placerville, on Hwy 50; go E 28 mi. to Crystal Basin Recreation Area turnoff near Riverton; access sites along highway upstream to Camp Sacramento.
Mid to high elevation boulder-strewn stream with pools and riffles; flows through forested and burned-over area. OK to fish except where privately posted. Resort.
Local fishing: Rainbows weekly from opener through July at access sites, picnic areas, and campground.
