E-lake cutt's 4-28-04 - fuzzyfisher - 04-29-2004
you got to love fishing a cold frount this time of year!!! went up to E-lake yesterday got there about 7:30 am no wind and the temp was 52.. made the long walk down to the water and started out with melo & worm (my minnows were still to frozzen and i could not get them apart) but started get fish on the worms but it was slow for E-lake.. so finley got the minnows where i could get them apart.. then it was on!! was getting a fish every cast it only take about 5 min's for the fish to hit.. now the wind started up and it was getting bad but the fishing just got better.. i stayed with the fishing tell about 1:30 when the wind sterted blowing the other way the i knew the cold frount had hit and it was time to go.. got about 25 to 30 fish yesterday up there the biggest one was 15 1/2" but most were fat and looking better than the ones i was getting there the other day..
huntington is still iced up but there was one spot where the river runs into the lake that was open..still foot and 1/2 of snow up there..looks like another week befor ice off..
