I'll bet there are a zillion of these little guys not even cataloged yet. Scuds and Madtom-like fishys that is. I can see it now... Scudus JapanRonicus or sum such! Japan being such a segimented enviornment ecologically, every stream that exists has a sub-species of some of these smaller fish species. 47 such fish exist in the river I often fished ie the Sagamigawa.
