Where to go Striper Fishing in Boulder Basin ? - reellittlephish - 05-18-2004

Maybe in 2 weeks I'm going to take a friend out at night and he wants to go striper fishing for a few hours after work. We will probably launch from Hemenway or Boulder Basin. I don't fish for stripers much (except Willow Beach) and only know 2 places to go; Hemenway Wall and 33 hole. Don't much care to navigate near Vegas Wash at night as I know there are several reefs just under the surface near Pitchfork Cove and Sand Island that are not marked.

Without giving up your best spots, anyone got suggestions?

I've heard the west end of Saddle Island (right out from Saddle Cove) is pretty productive at night. Anchovies and Rattle Traps were used. Other than that just about any place out there could be a good place. However, with the warmer (hot) weather they could be cruising into shallow coves at night.
