So Cal Hansen Lake Float Tubing Report 6/10 - tubeN2 - 06-11-2004
[size 2]We got to the lake around 7:00pm only to get in about 1hr of tubing before they closed.
We were well out of range of the bank fishermen and in a comfortable spot. Water temp was 81 deg.
Fresh shrimp was the bait of choice, on a sliding rig and 3" mild steel leader and 2lb Stren XXX(coming to a store near you soon)
Since they recently planted catfish, that helped to drive out the holdovers. First hook up was a 6lb channel cat. TubeNtoo followed with a 5.5lb. The fish were going nuts. 4,5,6.5 and 7lbers were being caught.
The bank fishermen were raking in the freshly planted 1 to 1.5 lb cats.
We had to exit the water at 7:45. We caught a total of 10 cats. We didn't let any follow us home and had a great time.[/size]
