Boomerang - Rodney - 07-02-2002 If you want to know what the hottest latest thing ever in fishing, if you saw Bill Dance this weekend, or Modern Marvels a couple of weeks ago, and want to know more or how to, or tips, what ever you want to ask about the Boomerang fishing pro, that has taken drop shotting and turned it into "Sling Shotting"

I'm the MAN

Rodney Long,
Inventor of the
Boomerang Fishing Pro.
http://ezknot.com/Boomerang.htm
& EZKnot http://ezknot.com/ezknottyer.htm

Re: Boomerang - ChrisP - 07-08-2002 U da Man!

Re: Boomerang - davetclown - 07-08-2002 well I got the chance to veiw your site and what a fanominal set up that is,

of course with any thing that is good is ilegal to use at least here in michigan. because of greedy fisherman who were in the praticing of snaging in our rivers for salmon and schnook we have not been able legaly to place our sinkers below our hooks.

but your set up and site realy do look exciting and I sugest every one take a moment to look it.

http://myweb.ecomplanet.com/MESS6438/
For Kids Sake
Recycle your old Equipment
Dave Re: Boomerang - Gamakatsu - 07-08-2002 Hey Dave,
If no sinker is allowed below hooks, can you tell me how there rigging up for those salmon. I fish a lot of salmon from shore ( plunking ) am interested in other options. We in WA. donot have that restriction. Yet anyway. please advise on appropraite rigging in your area thanks.

Gamakatsu <*(((>{
Re: Boomerang - davetclown - 07-08-2002 Your method of hook ups here that I personally use is as follows

1) Fishing of shore of lake I use split shot 20 - 30 inches above my hook

2) Slow currents or swells in rivers I use large split shot or small egg sinkers above my barrel swivel snap my leader 20 - 30 inches long with 2 hooks one in the middle one at the end.

3) Heaver currents I will use larger Egg linkers heavy enough to sink to the bottom but not so heavy that they wont roll down river in to the hole i want to lay my spawn in to.

4) I have fished for them with spoons and plugs and flies, I have used my fly rod as well as my salmon setup.

5) I have seen anglers wading in the rivers with split shot and spawn casting from one shore to the other with medium weight tackle and letting the spawn drift down stream till it was straight down river from them before they crank it in. others with spoons and spawn bags hanging from their trebles

6) Some have resulted to using a double leader set up 20 - 30 inch leader with a second leader hooked up at the same swivel snap from six inches in length to a foot holding you hook and line straight out you will see a âTâ shape. There are now barrel swivels that have three loops on them shaped in a "T" and in a "Y" shape one for your leader and one for your sinker.

#3 and #6 both have the same thing in common and that is that it allows the bait to move with the current and the fish to hit the bait with out feeling the sinker until it is to late.

Just think as a salmon as a giant trout. They hit flies when they are in the river and any thing else that moves when preparing to lay their beds.

If any one needs a pic of any one of these hook ups send me your Email in a privet message and I will be happy to send you a pic

http://myweb.ecomplanet.com/MESS6438/
For Kids Sake
Recycle your old Equipment
Dave Re: Boomerang - Gamakatsu - 07-09-2002 Thanks Dave, all of those options are widely used through out the angling community. just thought there was some other contraption due to your states restriction. thanks for the reply

Gamakatsu <*(((>{
|
