Salmon fishing was really tough this weekend. The fish are hanging in the larger holes mostly in the upper river. Water levels have dropped, making for a bumpy ride. No, we did not see any significant rainfall from Ivan. The crowds were in full force, finding a spot to fit in wasn't easy. We did manage a few fish on every trip but not nearly as good as last week. The good news is- the weekend is over, and the kings are now holding up out at the river mouth in good numbers. Now we can go chase them around out there for a while. I love it when they smash Rapalas- casting or trolling.
