Deep Cell Batteries - neveronsunday - 10-14-2004 [red][size 3]Any tricks to charging deep cell marine batteries? Is a low amp trickle charge better or pour the coal to it on turbo charge? I've heard to let them run all the way down first to get more cycles out of them and others say to recharge them every chance you get. I bought the biggest baddest 12 volt deep cell for the bow mount electric I could find and am now having trouble getting it to recharge. I am thinking my battery charger is just giving up the ghost and it's not the battery but thought I'd see if anyone had some better info. Thanx. I let them drain approximatly half then charge at a maximum on 6 amps using a charger that drops off when charged. Hope this helps. [signature] |
