free ipods - addicted2fishin - 11-19-2004

So did anyone see the thing on Fox 13 news last night about the company giving away free 20 gig iPods?

It sounded too good to be true to me, but the news report actually verified that they are a legit company and they showed 2 kids on there that actually received the iPods.

It looks like there are a couple of requirements, though. You need to sign up for an offer (credit card app, sign up with BMG Music or Columbia House DVD, etc), then get 5 friends to do the same thing.

I usually avoid this kind of thing but I think I might trust this one based on the news report, then raise hell with Fox 13 if I get scammed.

If nothing else, I can use a few extra DVDs from Columbia House. From people I have talked to, that one clears through the confirmation system a little faster than others.

Check it out:

They also did a tech forum on G4 tech TV (cable show). Had an interview with the CEO of the company running the program and the two host also did the rolls and it worked for them. Now all you have to do is find 5 freinds gullable enough to join a CD club thyen your in.

Yeah, exactly. I could use the CDs, so I didn't have a problem signing up since it was the same price it would be if I went to BMG on my own.

I was just very suprised to see a news station actually validate a company like that.

I was almost tempted to do the GM Credit card application and put my annual income as around $10,000. That way the application would be declined, but I would still qualify as filling out the offer. The only problem with this is that I didn't want the credit check to show up on my credit report since I'm buying a new truck soon (as soon as I can sell the Bronco).

Ok, an update.

I did the BMG music offer and hope to see the CDs show up here in the next couple of days. I finally got credit for the offer on the ipods site today. It took them about 2 weeks from the time I signed up with BMG. A friend of mine did the Columbia House DVD offer and her credit showed up much quicker.

I noticed there were a few people that signed up using the link I posted (thanks) and their credit hasn't shown up yet. If you completed the offer, hopefully the credit will show up soon and we can see if this offer really works.

So what exactly is a Ipod?

iPod is basically a little handheld MP3 music player. However, it's not some little 128 MB player, it is actually a little 20 gig harddrive. You hook it up to your computer, download the music to it, and you can carry it around and listen to the music like a walkman.

20 gig will hold about 300 albums worth of music and you can get an adapter to play it through your car stereo, too.

iPod is made by Apple and is one of the hottest things this Christmas, but it is compatible with Windows based PCs.

Very cool. Hope the offer works!

Click on the link in the first post to see more about them, or you can just search the internet for 'ipod'.
