Rockport on Thursday - DKStroutfitter - 01-25-2005
I plan to fish Rockport on Thursday,to get ready for the party on Saturday. I will be there at daylight,out from the boat ramp. Is anyone elso going to be there? I will have my radio on cahnnel 12-0. Give me a shout if you are up there!

[cool]Good luck out there Thurs, DKS. I can't wait to hit it on Saturday. Man, there's gonna be a ton of people there, but should be a good time, regardless. Think I'll try to get there extra early so I can catch a few before the masses show up and it get's slow. Last year at the Perch party it was slow and hardly anybody caught much, but this year I know to spread out more, so I think more people will be successful this time around.
Lookin forward to your report on Thurs. to get me all amped up for the party!

You are right about keeping away from the crowd. Last year my family was at the North side of the ramp about 500 yards from the masses. We caught our limits before breakfast was served. We did the same thing at Doug's party with the same results.
Now that the party is kind of canceled, the crowds may be smaller. I will still be there on Saturday anyway.
I think that it is a good idea to hold off the party, because we saw 2 men slip on the ice last week and both were hurt from the falls. Everyone be careful on the slick ice, DKS.

[cool]Thanks for the warning, DKS. I'll make sure and bring my icecleats. It sounds like you were about he only ones that killed it last year on the Perch at the party. I know petty nailed them, but that was after the party. He had to go way out in the middle of the lake with some friends and they caught a ton. Should still be fun Saturday. See ya there.
