Cimarron Pontoon? - JamisJockey - 06-01-2005 Hi all, new user first post. I'm looking at a simple no frills pontoon I found online, named Cimarron. Not sure of the mfg. Any experience with this particular boat? Usage would be a couple of times a month during the summer. Possibly for running the Green river, too. They generally turn out a decent craft. I have owned one of their Kennebec "mini pontoons". It is only 8 feet and the requirement is that it be at least 9 feet, and approved for fast water. Not all 9' craft are good enough to handle fast water.[/#0000ff] [#0000ff][/#0000ff] [#0000ff]The price is good, for a starter pontoon. I noticed that WalMart has it online for $182. Most of my plans (like 95%) would revolve around local lake fishing, maybe some forays into the Uintas for some of those lakes.
