Bleeding Shad Rat-L-Traps (www.rat-l-trap.com), 2" Spoiler Shads (www.cremelure.com) & 4" rootbeer-black fleck drop shot worms. Upriver, a significant algae bloom has slowed and shortened even the short-lived early AM motion bait bite. You can still catch a few bass right at daylight on black back 2" Spoiler Shads, blue-white-chart. 1/4 oz. Terminator stainless spinnerbaits (www.terminatorlures.com) & chrome-blue Rat-L-Top topwaters (www.rat-l-trap.com). After the sun is up, our most effective bait has been either a Texas rigged grn. pumpkin-black fleck 3" JDC JR. Craw (www.jdcbaits.com) and wacky rigged 4" Ice Tea Scoundrel worm on 3/0 "K" Wacky Hooks (www.falconlures.com) tight to stumps and submerged trees along steep, undercut banklines and bluffs. Smallmouth are fair to good at night on black single spin spinnerbaits, 3/16 oz. black-brown Terminator with Devil's Tongue trailers. White Bass are fair at night under lights on Spoiler Shads, Tiny Traps and live bait. Crappie are fair upriver in 10'-16' tight to standing trees on 1/16 oz. white Curb's crappie jigs and minnows.
