Directions to Lincoln Beach - Utahoutdoorsman - 07-12-2005 I have never been to Lincoln Beach and I love Catfishing. I would be coming down I-15 from northern Utah County. What is the easiest way to get there? I am not that familiar with the Provo side of Utah Lake. This might be easier -- it's a link to the Utah Fishing Holes board where there is a post for how to get to Lincoln Beach. I used to have many difficult and covoluted ways I would get there until I found this quick and easy route......[/#505000] [#505000][/#505000] [#505000] Get off I-15 on Spanish Fork Main and go to 400 North. On 400 North drive west for quite awhile (there will be stop signs and cross streets but ignore them all just keep going west like a lemming headed to sea). The road will eventually curve north followed almost immediately by a sign that tells you Lincoln Beach is the next left turn. Take that left and keep going west. The road will eventually curve to the north. Follow it you can't miss Lincoln Beach unless you are driving with your eyes closed which I wouldn't recommend.[/#505000] [signature] Re: [Carp_Punisher] Directions to Lincoln Beach - Utahoutdoorsman - 07-12-2005 [reply] [#505000]Ahh another question right up my alley. Thanks for the info. [signature] Re: [Carp_Punisher] Directions to Lincoln Beach - cat_man - 07-12-2005 Hey Gary those look like nice clear directions. I added them to the Utah Fishing Holes board so people can have an alternate perhaps easier route. For me it's quicker to go straight from Payson Main Street North and then turn west on 6400 or something like that, since I come from the south. I figured out that last route just a few weeks back and for me it's very quick and hard to get lost on all those crazy back streets in the middle of nowhere. Can't get him to follow directions for a faster way cause he knows the one he uses and won't change. That's what old age will do to ya I guess! That's ok I've inherited a double dose of his stubbornness so I'll probably be worse when I'm that age! lol [signature] Re: [cat_man] Directions to Lincoln Beach - Utahoutdoorsman - 07-12-2005 So, how long would you say it takes to get to Lincoln beach from Pleasant Grove, which is right next to Orem? I am two minutes from the Freeway. [signature] Re: [Utahoutdoorsman] Directions to Lincoln Beach - Carp_Punisher - 07-13-2005 [#505000]Depending on traffic I would say 30-45 minutes. It seems like it takes me about 20 to get there from Spanish. So tack on another 15-20 or so mintues from PG to Spanish.....[/#505000] [signature] Re: [TubeDude] Directions to Lincoln Beach - Utahoutdoorsman - 07-13-2005 Lol. Thanks for the info and tips. I'll make sure I look out for Farmer Fudd. These places are 15 minutes max from your house. I'm surprised you didn't know about them, but anyway, you can get into fish at either of these places as well. Good luck out there! [signature] Re: [Utahoutdoorsman] Directions to Lincoln Beach - Kent - 07-13-2005 You could also drive over to American Fork Boat Harbor. Even if the road is closed just before the gate, one can park outside of the marina and walk in. One can fish inside the harbor or on the lake side off of the dike. [signature] Re: [Utahoutdoorsman] Directions to Lincoln Beach - cat_man - 07-13-2005 You could also hit the bubble-up, which is about a quarter mile south of Lindon Boat Harbor. Depending on how the water level is right now, you can fish off the dike or wade out a little bit and cast along the outside edge of the bullrushes. If the water has gone down a little, part of the pipe might be exposed too and you could walk out on it like I did last year and cast out for channels, mudcats and white bass. [signature] |
