Flaming Gorge Help Needed - fishinfool - 08-16-2005

Looks like I am going to be at flaming gorge the 18th thru the 21st and need some spots to fish near mustang boat ramp.
Looking for some pups,to keep me and a couple of boys busy for at least two of them days maybe three.Fishing from a boat and can travel a ways if we have to.probably as far as red canyon.
Any info is appreciated.
I Have GPS if you can share some cordinates.
Thanks,FNF

Hi Tony,

I am no expert on fishing the gorge, but I think one useful tool is the Flaming Gorge map put out by the folks at, Fish-n-Map. It gives you some GPS locations and the structure of the lake. There are other maps out on the gorge, but I think Fish-n-Map is the best. You can buy these maps at Sportsmans, and will most likely in the big town of Dutch John. This is about all I can give you...Have a great trip, and may the Fishing Gods be good to you.[Wink]

Thanks Rapo,
I have been on topo zone the last few days picking out some pionts near Jarvis canyon, and getting cordinates,I have a good friend that just PM'd me some good info also. Thanks to him and you.I might get some fish,I am sure I can get somthing to work,I like the challange of figuring out what they want,It just makes it fun for the boys if you can get on the fish quickly so they dont get bored.Anyway I'm sure I can get into the smallies or the rianbows if I cant find any lake trout that want to play.
Thanks again.
