Tube and Toon trip on Utah Lake. - Fishhound - 10-21-2005 [size 1]After installing some nightmare-ish software on my computer Monday afternoon, it would do nothing, so, I took a "vacation". I didn't realize it would last for more than a week, but, I'm glad I got out of the house. Here's a recap of the Utah Lake fishing parts of my fall "vacation" that occured since last week. 10/12 - UL springs area - Float tube. Half a dozen or so 10 inch panfish sized carp and 1- 26 inch 9 pound Carp on 4 pound line using home made dough bait under a float. 1 - 8 pound channel using the recently caught carp meat. 10/13 - UL springs area - pontoon for more mobility hoping for some walleye action. 1 - 4 lb channel using carp meat from day before and 1- 20 inch walleye using plastic. 10/14 - UL(secret spot so don't tell anyone). Took my hounds and self out for a little fishing and a good bark at the world from the bank of Utah lake. Net results - 1 4.5 lb channel, 1 - 4 lb channel and one fair sized mudcat. 10/15 Drove past Utah lake on way to E-lake and Scofield area eating a mixed bag of home made fish sticks - but that's another report. Looks like we will make a fishing photojournalist out of you yet. Nice work.[/#0000ff] [#0000ff][/#0000ff] [#0000ff]Glad to see you found a few cooperative fishies.[/#0000ff] [#0000ff][/#0000ff] [#0000ff]You know that I know exactly where those pics were took. I suspect you were playing with the "carpkind" in the next "indentation" to the east. Been seeing quite a few there and around the first spring.[/#0000ff] [#0000ff][/#0000ff] [#0000ff]Going down to Yuba tomorrow morning. Any interest?[/#0000ff] [signature] Re: [TubeDude] Tube and Toon trip on Utah Lake. - Fishhound - 10-21-2005 Yeah, I know you know where those photos were took - I seen you there before - prolly taking pictures yer own self. It was indeed the next dent just to the east that I found the Carp action - but no kitties in there this time. You probably even know the where-abouts of my "secret spot" too. But don't be telling the whole world about it - it wouldn't be a secret anymore. Yuba, eh ? That sounds like fun ! What would your plan be ? And, could it include picking me up at my place ? I have to repair the tail gate on my truck - otherwise we could take it. My tube is just about ready to hit the water - just needs a little more air. Send me a PM with the particulate matters. Hope you catch some big slime rockets that give you a good tow in your tubes. Also hope you guys get into some toothy critters (ssshhhhhh...they're not supposed to be in there yet[]) that you have to do the CPR with (Catch, Photograph, Release). Looking forward to hearing your report. I'm gonna watch my Cougars get whooped up on by an and revengeful (we beat them last year in Provo) Notre Dame squad. Good luck out there, and be safe! TubeBabe insists on playing this time, so I will have all her gear too, plus minnow catching stuff.[/#0000ff] [#0000ff][/#0000ff] [#0000ff]I promise that if I find some fish, that I will put a mark on the water for you to find.[/#0000ff] [#0000ff][/#0000ff] [#0000ff]Too bad about the truck. Hope it goes together quick (and cheap).[/#0000ff] [signature] |
