Island Park Res - bsflies - 12-13-2005
Saturday my son-in-law and I fished IP without any success. We had three hits and it was -20 below zero - a very cold experience. We did talk to a few other fishermen. Nine fishermen fished the area around the dam and only three fish were caught before 11 a.m when we left. We probably missed more hits but the line was usually frozen in the ice withing two or three minutes of breaking them loose. Should be better later. There is about 8 to 10 inches of ice there.

Thanks for the report. And I thought I was crazy about fishing in extreme conditions.[crazy] If I was fishing when it was that cold I would be hoping that I didn't catch any fish so I didn't have to deal with them. If you weren't in an ice tent with a heater your tougher than me.
