Weber River Ice Status? - ruger - 12-21-2005
I've finally earned a kitchen pass for Thursday and Friday and was hoping to hit the Weber for some whites. My question is, has the warm weather opened the river back up enough to make it fishable around Taggart or should I target it as it comes through the canyon? If it's no good, I may just have to dig the auger out and hit Rockport.

You might want to head for the section between the resevoirs, the fishing there has been good and the ice has not been too bad. As you drive up watch the lower to see if it has been breaking up,it was very thick there.

I was able to make it up to my favorite part of the middle which was completely ice free. The weather was great, but the catch wasn't spectacular. I only managed 3 small browns and 2 whites. All were caught on grey scuds right on the bottom.
