Mantua 20 Jan - icing_perch - 01-21-2006
Well made it up to Mantua this morning and met up with BLM out on the ice. Started out with a ton of slush on top of the ice. Headed across to the far east side. Got wet feet need better boots. Iced 14 nice perch and 1 keeper sized gill by 2:30 then the fun began. Started loading my sled with my gear and finished soaking my feet [
]. Headed back towards the boat dock and realized my sled was no longer behind us. BLM brought it in for me. Then realized my auger wasn't on the sled. BLM headed back out and found my auger along with my fish finder that no longer had a transducer connected to it[] so needless to say could have been a better day. Thanks goes out to BLM for dragging me across the lake and getting me into some perch though.[signature]

As I said in Blm's post, I'm glad to hear you guys got a few fish. Its away sucks when equipment is damaged tho', been there done that.. Such is the life of a hard pushing ice fisherman.... Just make sure those perch pay the price for screwing up your equipment [
