Once i land it they are awed at the size of it , "what kind of fish is that " one kid asks . I reply , "That's a bugle mouth bass" , and the older guy a few feet down from me starts chuckeling . "What are you going to do with it ?" , the next little kid asks . "Take his picture and let him go" , I say . Then I tell the kids about the contest . "Can we have it ? " "Sure , you take my pic and you can have it ". One kid snapps my pics , then they take turns carrying the thing home . The older guy starts laughing again . He says he would love to see the look on the parents face when they drag that fish in the house . The kids return a short time later covered in slime and put the carp in the river , it swims off . The tallest of the youngsters says ; Mom said that bass isn't in season so we had to put it back . The older guy starts laughing non-stop .
