Malibu wide open perch report - master6777 - 01-29-2003
Fished the Charthouse parking lot with Marcus from about 12 to 4:30pm.
Fish caught between the 2 of us: over 50 perch (both BSP and walleye up to 7"), 1 nice sized smelt, 1 small YF Croaker, and 1 baby sanddab
Rig: hi/low rig with small hooks (size 8)
line: 10lbs for the hi/low and 12lb mainline
bait: lugworms, shrimp
Prepare to lose some tackle if you go out there. Lost about four 1oz sinkers to the rocks. There's a great evening high tide going on right now so get out there!
