Help to ID - dsnethen - 05-23-2006

Can someone tell me what this is and how it is used? I would like the actual name of the object if possible. Thanks.

Let me see if I can make the file size smaller and attach as well.

I compressed the file, but you do need an application like
Winzip to open. Winzip is free for trial if you go to cnet.com.

Re: [dsnethen] Help to ID - EZOP - 05-23-2006

First guess would be to catch a squirrel, but without barbs I don't think so.
Second guess would be a crazy way to fix a cheating wife.
Third guess would be a teabag retreiver.

Re: [EZOP] Help to ID - dsnethen - 05-24-2006

The person that sent it to me said he saw it on a bird hunting page and someone else on another post thought it was for fishing: a weight that when swallowed, the spikes came out and snagged the fish. But without barb's I wasn't sure unless the spikes actually locked into place (unless it is to pull up a fish that doesn't fight back). I will live without knowing, but now it is driving me nuts. Thanks.

No clue what it is but I'll email the pic to my fishin' buddy. Maybe he knows (since he thinks he knows everything).

I'll bet Cliff Claven from Cheers knows.

Looks like a brass acorn watch bob to me. With barbs so no one will steal it.
