J.V- demon jigs? - basslegend - 06-22-2001

Hey Jerry, Steve said to ask you about the demon jigs on stripers here in the northeast. How do they work for you, and which ones work better? Thanks
TIGHT LINES, TIM

Basslegend,
Yup...I just finished a review of some of those jigs for Noreast.com magazine...I used them down around Falmouth, Nobska, Woods Hole, the Vineyard...did very well on school stripers with the 1 ounce sand eel and the lime burner was also effective. I used them in a pretty straightfoward cast & retrieve, with short, intermittent sweeps during the retrive. The jigs are high quality construction and I think you'll be intrigued with the fabric bodies because they're just right for soaking w/ herring oil if you use that method. The review should run in a couple of weeks at Noreast...if they limit it to the hard copy mag, I'll post it over here later.

Jerry Vovcsko
East Bridgewater, Mass USA
Moderator, Massachusetts Forum
