Favorite way to fish walleye? - Vandil - 06-02-2006 I never fish for them personally, but for those of you who do. What is your favorite way to fish walleye? Just bounce the jig combo of the day off the bottom, usualy tipped with a leech or night crawler, and feel for the little bites. Or lead headed jigs with a brown 3" grub top with a nightcrawler. Or trolling crank baits. Or blade baits. Usually in that order, until I find whats working. If im up in Lake of the Woods i like to use lindy rigs around rockshelves tipped with leeches, you catch a mixture of smallmouth bass, walleyes, and pike. If im fishing the local dam i like to use a leech on a hook and cast it out into the current and after 2 minutes retrieve slowly. If im at a lake i like to find an area full of stumps and use a slip bobber with a nice fathead. -Logan [signature] |
