You're not too far away from me, i'm up the coast a little bit in South Carolina. Which tournaments do you fish? Fresh or Saltwater? What species? I haven't fished a tourny in a while, but I use to do my share. Welcome once again. It's a big site, so take your time and enjoy. There's alot of great stuff on BFT, so make sure and explore the other boards and links. If you have any questions, make sure and Private Message me or one of the other Moderators. To PM someone, simply click on the title of the individual you want to PM, and when their info pops up, click the PM button at the bottom. Take care and good fishing![cool] [signature] Re: [TeamHyperStriper] Hey Everyone! - vinny1957 - 06-27-2006 Hey, Always like a pro to chat with. Me, I'm a fish hacker. Just like a golf hacker, I get more casts for my buck, no fish --- just casts! [sly] Vinny [signature] Re: [TeamHyperStriper] Hey Everyone! - gdn443 - 06-27-2006 Welcome to BFT. It sounds strange to us here in the N.E. to fish for the stripers in fresh water. Perhaps some day you will have a chance to go for the cows in the big salty. Our minamum lenght is 28" to keep. [signature] Re: [gdn443] Hey Everyone! - TeamHyperStriper - 06-27-2006 Hey Guys, Thanks for the friendly welcome. I would love to go after the cows in the salt. But living in Atlanta, the closest thing to salt fishing is striped bass, so I guess thats why I chose them as my favorite. I fish in the National Striped Bass Association Gold Cup Trail, and if you want to learn, this is one of the best ways I know. They hold fresh and salt water Tournaments from New York - Texas so they have most of us covered. They are a really great association. I've fished there trail for 3 years now, and look forward to the next. Check them out if you like stripers. [signature] Re: [TeamHyperStriper] Hey Everyone! - Tarpon4me - 06-28-2006 That sounds pretty fun! I wish I could afford to do an actual Tournament "trail." I'm stuck with the local tournaments in the area, and I haven't had time to fish any of those in a long while either. (or the money) [pirate] Me, personally, i've not done hardly any Striper fishing. It's kind of ![]() Maybe i'll get someone to ride along with me and show me the ropes. I guess with all the other species of fish availible, especially since i'm so close to multiple rivers and the big blue, I just haven't gotten the motivation. [signature] Re: [TeamHyperStriper] Hey Everyone! - tubeN2 - 07-03-2006 Welcome aboard. Let me know when you plan to come to SoCal. I have a few nice lakes for Striper fishing here. Bring plenty of 12inch swim baits cuz they will get chewed up. My local Castaic lake has a 50lb club. I am still trying to get into it but my personal best is only 48lbs. I'm still trying though.[cool] [signature] Re: [TeamHyperStriper] Hey Everyone! - TeamHyperStriper - 07-06-2006 Man, if you live so close to santee you should jump on it. I was born at myrtle beach but was raised in columbia and know all about santee cooper. That is where fresh water striped bass fishing originated. If I were you I would go fish the congaree river or the santee dam right now. You are missing out on some major fun. Just let me know when you want to catch some fish and I can help put you in the right direction. Thanks guys that are far away wisconsin, and cali! I may take you up on your offer one day! Thanks again. [signature] Re: [TeamHyperStriper] Hey Everyone! - Tarpon4me - 07-06-2006 Aight' Bro, say I wanted to head to Santee right now, give me the run down. I noticed the Diversion Canal is the center of all activity, however, how is the striper fishing in that area? If that's not the spot, where exactly would I go? I've got a GPS, so don't be affraid to sling some numbers at me. Also, this time of year, the striper fishing isn't too hot, is it? Right now you're hearing about the catfishing. Monster Flatheads are on the prowl right now. NICE Daddy like flatheads. [cool] I'm also from Myrtle Beach, but I live in Florence now. I launch my boat from murrells inlet when I hit the big blue. April-June the pigs are running up the river, some are still there[ ![]() [signature] |
