Float tubin' Strawberry? - Digdug73 - 07-24-2006 I'm a new member to BFT but am already impressed with the reports and pictures coming from Strawberry Reservoir. I don't own a boat but would like to try fishing it the first week of August. Is it worth trying with a float tube? On the same topic, if you only had a week to fish the area which lakes would you hit at this time of the year? Thanks for the info. Yes, Strawberry is very popular with tubers, and you can be very successful there with a tube, flyfishing or spinfishing. There are lots of good areas to do it: the ladders, any bay, Renegade ("The Meadows"), etc. Olive, brown and black wooly buggers work well. Don't forget to drop some jigs down as you get out a little deeper. [signature] |
