Bear Lake Rock Piles - macscabin - 07-25-2006 Are the rock piles that they made last year any good for fishing? I am headed up this weekend and would like any help to catch some fish. I know it is a slow time for BL this time of year. Macscabin [signature] Re: [macscabin] Bear Lake Rock Piles - RILEYFISH - 07-25-2006 I have heard that they have been marking fish on the new piles. How many and what kind I am not sure of. I would try the east side where it is a little deeper in the colder water if I was going up. Try from first point to the Boy scout camp, Trolling 60-90 feet down if you have riggers. or if you mark some fish, try jigging. Good luck RILEY [signature] Re: [RILEYFISH] Bear Lake Rock Piles - macscabin - 07-25-2006 Thanks for the info. I do have riggers so I will give it a try. I dropped my underwater camera down and was also seeing cisco and suckers. This is during the time before ice up, after it froze we fished them again but the catching had slowed down. I can't tell you how the catching is this time of the year but I will be on those new rock piles the next trip up to the big blue lake. Good luck and let us know how you do. WH2 [signature] |
