Lakeshore Dr. (US Highway 2) in Manistique. This is the regular monthly meeting of the commission, a seven-member public body appointed by the Governor. At 12 p.m., the NRC Policy Committee on Land Management will meet to review recommendations on the Cheboygan to Gaylord snowmobile trail and a policy for donor and sponsorship recognition. There also will be a presentation on the Hiawatha National Forest plan. The NRC Policy Committee on Wildlife and Fisheries will meet at 1:30 p.m. to hear wildlife habitat updates and review proposed wildlife regulation changes. The Committee of the Whole will meet at 3 p.m., and public appearances before the commission start at 4:30 p.m. Persons wishing to speak to the commission during the public appearances portion of the meeting can register with Teresa Gloden, the NRC's administrative assistant, by calling (517) 373-2352 or e-mailing her at [url "mailto:glodent@michigan.gov"][#000000]glodent@michigan.gov[/#000000][/url]. Persons who register in advance receive five minutes to speak before the commission. Persons who register at the commission meeting receive three minutes to speak. Action items on the NRC agenda in August include regulations for waterfowl and other migratory bird hunting for 2006-2007, a wildlife conservation order on the ages for youth hunters and DNR Director Rebecca Humphries is expected to act on an order for antlerless deer license fees.
