i need help - new_angler - 08-23-2006
hey everyone, i've been tryin to figure out how to make my own lures and so far haven't really gotten anything to work, and i wuz wonderin if anyone could explain to me how to make a homemade fishing lure.

If it were me, I'd read up on it, but since you're here, why not go back to the main menu and scroll down to the "lure and jig making" forum and ask the people in there...I'm sure there's someone there who's gonna get you started out on the right foot.
By the way, what type of lures are you interested in making? Jigs, spinners, hard baits, plastics? I'm sure you've got some good ideas, but first you'll have to target one area or type of bait you want to create first.

there are dozens of easy to make lures that you can do at home.
Flies of all types and sizes.
leaders of all types and sizes
harnesses of all types and sizes
jigs of all types and sizes
numerous spoons
Plugs galore
poppers
crank baits
I say pick your best working tool and learn how to mimic it. "not for sale" you get in to trouble doing that. the fun is in making your own for personal use and posibly gifts...
my question is the same as previously asked, What do you have a mind to do? we have guys here with some realy amazing tallent who can do just about anything, and collectivly we have a member base who can do anything...
